I’m not sure what I was thinking giving up coffee! I love coffee! I realized though that my coffee might be what’s holding me back. I work out and I eat pretty healthy but I’m stuck.
I have 1-2 coffees everyday, sometimes more on the weekends and I add Splenda and CoffeeMate creamer. Oh and usually I will add whip cream too! I think there’s a problem with all of that!
So, I decided a few days ago that I needed to quit drinking that everyday and switch to tea. I love tea! My biggest concern was the caffeine headaches because I already get severe migraines once or twice a week so I didn’t want to add to that pain. But today is day 4 and so far, so good!
I switched to tea in the morning. So far it’s been this tea that I love and am totally addicted to!
For the last 3 mornings I have also had a green protein shake, complete with spinach, banana, vanilla protein powder, and a splash of OJ!
I have found that this shake gives me a little more energy, not to mention it fills me up!
So we will see how this goes! I’ve been drinking coffee for almost 10 years but I don’t love it as much as I used to and I don’t need it as much as I think I do!
Hi! I have been a blogger before I was never really any good at it! This year a lot of things have changed in my life and I have done my best to go with the flow. Now we are heading into 2013 and I have high hopes that it will treat me much better than 2012 did.
This year I have learned that I love working out. Amazing considering that in order for me to work out, I have to get up at 5 AM! But somehow I do it. I love the way that I feel after I have gotten in a good sweat fest. I also love the way I feel for the rest of that day. I really notice a difference in my energy, as well as in my mood, if I got a workout in or not.
I’ve also started to eat differently. I do not believe in dieting or restricting myself. It never works for me. Instead I have learned to eat new things and as of yesterday, I have given up coffee because my coffee included creamer and splenda. I have noticed this past year that my palate has changed and things that I used to hate (veggies mainly) I now love! That has been exciting for me and for my husband who has never met a veggie he didnt like!
This year my husband, Cameron, and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! 5 years of marriage and 9 years of being together. We have been through a lot of ups and downs, though mostly downs, but we are strong and we are in love. We work hard everyday to keep our marriage strong. People who say that marriage is easy have no idea what they are talking about!
So, why start this blog now instead of waiting until January 1? Well mainly it’s because I was bored and reading everyone else’s blogs and decided that I should start mine now! Thanks for reading!
